MEET OUR 2019 GRANT RECIPIENTS

The Arts Lounge creates a safe place where students can create art in a healthy and safe environment, while benefitting from the therapeutic properties inherent in the expressive arts.

Trindy Gourmet’s cooking classes are designed for young men and teens focused on foods that reduce anxiety and increase mental sharpness.

The SOS Project provides basic lawn care and maintenance to seniors unable to work on their own yards, either due to health or financial reasons.  

Introduces boys and girls, ages 13-17, to successful entrepreneurs, small business owners and leaders headquartered in Palm Beach County. 

The Healthy Brothers' project emphasizes the importance of making healthier choices throughout Riviera Beach, Pleasant City, and the Northwood areas.

Increases the community’s access and education to healthy foods, by providing free, healthy meal options to families in the surrounding communities.

Partnering with the Riviera Youth Empowerment Center to teach young students, ages 12 17, how to produce food through hydroponic farming.

Curates conversations between the community and law enforcement officers and leaders throughout Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach. 

Provides an 8 week hands-on, interactive  program that teach youth the fundamentals of healthy eating including: reading nutrition labels, identifying healthy and unhealthy fats, carbs, and proteins, and creating healthy meals.

Workshops that help community participants to quiet years of negative self-talk to practicing gratitude, positive self talk, and daily meditation and affirmations.

One day girls leadership summit that facilitates discussions about leadership, body image, beauty, media, gender inequity, women in government, and culture of sexual objectification in media.  

This initiative teaches youth, ages 11-17, about obesity and diabetes, educates them on the causes, untreated risks, and effective ways to overcome through healthy eating and exercise.

Mothers Against Murders bridges the gap in the community by healing trauma, giving hope, bringing awareness, and provides tools and resources to those that have experienced trauma and violence.  

Start-up dollars used to launch a new small business located in Riviera Beach. The business will provide quality cleaning services to elder residents 

The Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County provided live cooking demonstrations  to residents, along with cookbooks and produce boxes, to provide healthy meals to their families throughout the summer.

A day of fun and teamwork among families that garnered healthy competition, trust, and familial connection. 

Project includes weekly meetings with young ladies to teach hairstyling techniques, salon business ownership tips and manifestation techniques. 

Interactive ministry lectures that teach participants about self-love and helping them to gain an understanding of their identity in Christ.

Palm Beach Maternity Center provides a non judgmental environment and help mothers navigate their way through their journey of motherhood. They take a holistic approach to prenatal care, birth, and postpartum care.

Executes a leadership boot camp and business development training program, which consists of 6 ses that focuses on intricate leadership and business development concepts.

A day to celebrate mothers who have lost a child to senseless gun violence The ongoing event includes a therapeutic workout, light breakfast, and a host of activities

Provides young ladies the opportunity to be fitted for proper undergarments at no charge, as well as educating them on the importance of knowing their bodies & checking their breast regularly

Created a series of autism awareness workshops to expand awareness, acceptance, and affirmation of autism in  minority communities.

Plant, Grow, Eat was created to provide a series of activities focusing on nutrition education, container gardening, cooking, physical exercise and personal development. 

The Suits for Seniors' Resource Center provides tailored suits to those in need and unemployed members of the community who are seeking employment.

Provides youth and young adults with the opportunity to express themselves through visual arts. 

This project equips faith leaders and members of the faith community with tools, resources and a series of trainings to serve their congregants and members of the community that are experiencing domestic violence

The project provided a make-up course to women displaced by Hurricane Dorian. The participants learned  makeup application techniques, as well as business advice for those interested in pursuing a career in the beauty industry.

This project addresses both African American men affected by trauma and violence in their neighborhoods, schools and communities.

The "I Protect Me. Do You?"project involves teaching the youth in our community about STDs and HIV AIDS.

Project provides caregivers and spouses of wounded warriors with a spa day to selflessly reinvigorate their own mind, body, and spirit wellness.

This platform was organized to follow four black, young adults living in the inner-city of West Palm Beach to educate communities of color with adequate mental health services. 

Provides access to body strengthening tools and techniques through a series of yoga classes for participants at all fitness levels. 

Partnered with JFK Middle School for an after school program that teaches students about health, hygiene, self-care, self-love, as well as entrepreneurship in the cosmetology industry. 

Manifest Church created "Barbershop Talk" as a platform for men of all ages to engage in a deep dive around the community issues affecting them, including the root causes of trauma and violence.

Parent Project is a program to help parents and youth that exhibit behavioral issues. the program gives parents tools to address the unwanted behavior rather than the youth personally. it allows opportunities for parents to come together, learn together, and create a cohort of support.
